Showers will continue on and off throughout the day Friday, with mostly cloudy skies. There could be a few peeks of sunshine, as the rain will not be continuous. There also could be a few isolated thunderstorms Friday afternoon.

Temperatures will be much cooler, topping out in the upper 50s to lower 60s. Most of the rain should be moving out by 5 p.m., but there could be a few lingering showers through the evening hours.

High pressure begins to build Friday night and through this weekend. Temperatures will be cool on Friday night, dipping into the 40s.

A lovely Mother's Day weekend

Expect a lot of sunshine this weekend, as high pressure builds into the region. Saturday morning will be a little breezy and a little cool, with winds Northwest 10 to 20 mph. The wind will settle down throughout the afternoon, as temperatures top out in the low 70s.

Expect a mix of sun and clouds for Sunday, with low humidity and temperatures in the upper 70s for your Mother’s Day.

Monday will also be dry but feature increasing clouds, with temperatures in the upper 70s. The storm system from the deep south will approach the region for midweek, bringing us increased humidity and chances of rain Tuesday through Thursday.
