It's not on tonight: A Shakira concert scheduled for Saturday night at Nationals Park has been canceled.
Shakira, Colombian pop sensation of the early 2000s, was scheduled to perform in D.C. as part of her "Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran" world tour. The Nats Park performance also was supposed to be the welcome concert for WorldPride DC, with Shakira as the headliner.

The cancellation is due complications the show encountered in Boston Thursday night. Her performance at Fenway Park was canceled hours before it was set to begin.
Safety issues with the stage in Boston prevented transporting the full production to the District in time for Saturday's concert.

"Like Shakira’s fans and our friends and family who have traveled from around the world to join us in DC this weekend, we are deeply disappointed that unforeseen circumstances have forced the cancellation," Capital Pride Alliance said in a statement.
The statement went on to say other weekend programming will go on as scheduled.
"WorldPride will absolutely continue as planned!" Capital Pride Alliance said.
“Due to circumstances beyond my control, I am sad and heartbroken that I will not be able to be in Washington, D.C. with you tomorrow," Shakira said in a statement. "I hope that I can come back to D.C., as soon as I am able."
