Two children and two adults were found shot and killed in a home in Manassas Park, Virginia, late Thursday in what police are investigating as a possible murder-suicide, police said.
The 2-year-old boy, 8-year-old girl and two adults in their 30s were found after their landlord requested that police conduct a welfare check on the tenants in his downstairs apartment, police said Friday.

They were: Santosh Pariyar, 38; Anju Shrestha, 36; and the children, whose names were not released by police.
“At this time, it appears that this may have been a murder-suicide incident,” Manassas Park police said in a brief statement.

Police did not immediately say who they believe was the shooter.
Neighbors told News4 the victims were a family who moved into the neighborhood about six months ago and were from Nepal.
Officers were called to the home in the 9400 block of Lanae Lane at about 10:40 p.m. Thursday after the landlord grew concerned about them. First responders discovered the tragedy; all four people were dead of apparent gunshot wounds. A gun was recovered on the scene.
Chopper4 video on Friday morning shows police cars on a tree-lined block of townhouses. The area is about two miles east of Centreville Road (Route 28).
All four people were taken to the medical examiner’s office in Manassas, police said.
Neighbors said they’re devastated by the killings. One said their 8-year-old daughter played every day with the 8-year-old who was shot and killed.
